In case the last one didn't work.

The tarball is held in:

~mjohnson/tarballs/ns-allinone-2.1b9.tar.gz

And the other attached file should be appended to anyone's .bashrc
subsequent to the installation to ensure the right paths are found.

Alright. The process is as follows:

1) rm -rf ns-allinone-2.1b9/
2) tar zxvf ns-allinone-2.1b9.tar.gz
3) cd ns-allinone-2.1b9
4) ./install
5) cd ns-2.1b9
6) ./validate

Make sure that there is enough disk space to unpack ns from the tarball
properly.

The installation process is quite involved. All components should install
correctly on the hons machine. Make sure you're on the hons machine -
staff has issues. If an error comes up during the installation process,
stop, and fix the error or subsequent stages could also fail. The first
stage is to search this page:

http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/ns-problems.html

If it doesn't contain the error you want, then mail me.
