Agent construction integrates both theory, pragmatic guidelines and tool support and can benefit from the experiences of the object-oriented community. Participation will be by submission of a position paper. Selection of these papers for the workshop will be based on review by at least two members of the workshop programme committee. The main theme of the workshop this year is full lifecycle AO methodologies in an industrial context. What are the appropriate processes by which an agent-oriented software development can progress from requirements through to production of the application? Other associated areas of interest are the application of method engineering techniques to AO methodologies and supporting tools for all stages of the AO lifecycle. The workshop aims to share the knowledge and experiences of different organizations in both the theoretical and practical aspects of constructing and tailoring object-oriented and component-based development methods from method components held (probably) in a repository. Method engineering integrates theory, pragmatic guidelines and tool support. Participation will be by submission of a position paper. Selection of these papers for the workshop will be based on review by at least two members of the workshop programme committee. The main theme of the workshop this year is how to specify the interfaces of method fragments. This is an important component of method construction. It seems likely that the interface specification style will be dependent upon the kind of method fragment e.g. task fragments will need a different interface "glue" to technique or work product fragments. A secondary theme will be the further development of last year's theme of method construction from repository-held method fragments. Service-Oriented Computing has paved the way to changes in the design, architecture, delivery, and use of software applications. Services are defined as autonomous platform-independent software elements which can be used to collaborate as distributed entities especially across organizational boundaries. They can be described, published, discovered, orchestrated, and programmed using standard protocols. A promising way to realize the idea of Service-Oriented Computing are Web Services. But real-time instant interaction and possibility of non-verbal information transfer has led to a change in paradigm of how e-learning is being envisaged in its traditional sense. On one hand, it lures academics to fall back to their traditional habits of face-to-face instructions and on the other hand, it promises to provide the best of both worlds.
